I just wrapped up teaching a six week series called “Living With Me.” Basically, we uncovered our Impostor. You know, the girl (or guy) inside your head who always counters the truth of God, or that voice inside your head who wants the entire world to be about you and how you feel. Yea, that person.
What do we do with that person? How do we silence someone who lives in us. In a word: TRUTH.
Jesus said that if we knew the truth it would set us free.
What truth?
Free us from what?
Well, first thing is a little place I like to call hell. We’d be free from that. But, what about the hell on earth? How do we become free from that?
It’s the same formula: You + Truth + Faith = Freedom.
When it comes to your Impostor, the truth will do the same thing. If you choose to believe the Truth, your Impostor has to leave so that you can be free.
Wants some nuggets of Truth to feed your spirit so that your flesh starves? Okay
You are holy. You are important. You are valuable. You are loved. You are accepted. You are secure. You are righteous. You are an overcomer. You are….shall I go on? Okay
You are Free
What will you do with Truth? Believe it? Or keep listening to your Impostor?
