Time Flies When You’re Raisin’ Babies

Thank you all for your prayers for me this week! I was very clear-headed for teaching, and as always, it was rewarding, fulfilling, and humbling! So looking forward to next week when we talk about the Holy Spirit, and if you’ve been around for awhile, you know I love me some Holy Spirit.

Now, about my children.

This one is eleven today.

Sometimes, I think she thinks she should be older and look more something like this:

or this

But, there is no getting around the fact she is still a little girl moving into the Tween years. I however, still look at her and see this:

However, I know the day is coming when even her eleven year old little face will morph into a young woman who wants to wear mascara and lipgloss. I know soon she will show signs of womanhood and we’ll have to talk about what to do when her body changes.

She’ll soon find out that her heart will want to follow the next cute boy around and will have to learn how to hold it close and cherish it for the One someday to come into her life.

One day will come when she will have her first real taste of sin, rejection, or heartache, and I want so much to be there when the devil comes to knock on her door. And yet, the day to follow will be one of strength, resolve and victory. She doesn’t know it yet, but she will overcome.

You see, I am raising a warrior. She might not have a barrel chest, a full beard and a barbaric yalp, but she will have the King of Kings in her, around her, and all over her.

The next eleven will be ones that form and fashion her. She will find her calling, passion, and hormones. She will learn the road less traveled and will come out on the other side proud, beautiful, and ready to fulfill all her God has for her.

This I gotta see.
Happy Birthday, Boog.

Yep, Nat. It's hard seein' these babies get older. My oldest will be twelve this year. Old enough to babysit. Old enough to say "I'm in middle school, now!"

    Not. Fair. *pout* ;)

Woo-hoo! Happy Birthday to you! You're such a great big sister.

There's a world of difference between 11 and 12 it seems. This will be a fun year, Nat!
