Friday, Kim and I jumped in her car and headed to Big D for another Single Mom’s Conference. Before we got out of town, however, we had to swing by and pick up someone we didn’t know to ride with us. *Gasp!* What were we going to do!? Girlfriend time cut short by a stranger! Grumble, [...] What is it about “the lake.” I haven’t been to many, but it seems to me that the “locals” like to all have a conference and decide that each and every diner should come with a picture of Elvis, booths from the previous diner that once stood at that very spot, and a waitress names [...] It’s a strange feeling between the time you hear someone has to go to the doctor for a follow-up exam and the time you hear the results. It’s a strange time frame. A dangerous time journey. On that street live the dark houses of Fear, Worry and What-If. If while we walk down the street of [...] Howdy Doodie! Holy smokes have I been out of the loop this week or what? I truly apologize, but I’ve been busy. And out of town. And lazy. There, I said it. Now, about what’s going on…we went to Amarillo, TX last week and hung out with Pastor JT’s family. Good times. Good food. We even met up with [...] Where am I? you ask!? I’m sure that’s what you’re asking because I’m sure you click over here about 8728497 times a day just wondering, “Where is that Natalie?” Well, I’m on a little vacation. The fam went to the great state of Texas for a few to see Pastor JT’s family, aaaaand we forgot our [...] Sand. It gets everywhere. That’s what happens when you go spend a few days at the lake. I guess I should say, The Lake, even if you don’t know which lake it is, we always say, The Lake. Now, this lake house of our dear friends, Mark and Cher, is so great. I’m sitting here at my desk sweating like a pig because, well, it’s a cool 93 degrees outside and I just go thru loading the car. We’re heading to the lake for a couple of days and I just [...] It happened. My brother, Casey, and his wife, Summer, moved away to join the amazing ministry, Gospel for Asia. I’m so excited for them, but bummed that one of my best friends up and moved away. We weren’t going to drive down with them, but Saturday morning I was in tears because everyone was going [...] There is something I want to ask y’all… Do you think that the man should drive, or the woman? I’ve noticed that when I see a couple in a car and the woman is driving I tend to think about the man sitting next to her, “Hmm, pansy. Can’t even drive the car for the fam.” But then [...] |
